Welcome to Thompson Aluminum Casting Co. We are a Cleveland, Ohio foundry that produces high quality aluminum and magnesium castings utilizing sand casting and permanent mold methods. The new millennium has brought many changes to Thompson Aluminum Casting Co. With sales consistently increasing at a double-digit rate per year, the need to expand became a necessity to provide castings on time and at a fair price for our valued customers.

TAC has constructed a new 52,000 square foot state-of the-art facility. This new Cleveland, Ohio foundry facility enables TAC to continue our aggressive, but controlled vision of a modern foundry. We have positioned ourselves to continue strong growth through the 21st century with the new building, our ISO registration, our expanded customer base, our patented MCF process, our low pressure permanent mold process for magnesium, our research and development contracts with various government agencies, and the continued attention to quality, price and delivery.

At Thompson Casting Company we believe in getting involved with customers by developing a working knowledge of their parts and their application. This enables us to not only produce a quality casting, but also to make recommendations regarding material and design. We educate ourselves about the industries we serve through management meetings, internal and external market studies, industry association reports and trade journals. Through our own research we have developed unique casting procedures such as our own Investocure and Squeeze Casting processes.

We have based our success as a caster of aluminum and magnesium parts on quick response time, high quality, and competitive pricing. We take great pride on our short response time required to get from engineering design and prototype to uniform usable production parts. The foundry's management believes that in order to produce a casting properly, a working knowledge of the part and its function is essential. This enables us to not only produce quality parts, but also to make recommendations regarding materials, applications, and sometimes, potential new markets. Aluminum and magnesium components are produced by mechanized green sand, dry sand, and permanent mold processes. The foundry heat treats on site, and has full nondestructive testing facilities on the premises. Thompson serves a variety of high volume commercial markets, which include compressors and pneumatic tools, fluid and power transmission equipment, valves and pumps, sporting goods, electrical and electronic components, marine hardware, and other critical components.
